Performing Experience
My professional career has included roles with The Big Apple Circus, Staten Island Ballet, Paideia Arts, Dance Canvas, and the Georgia Ballet where I danced for seven seasons under the direction of Iris Hensley and Gina Hyatt-Mazon. Some of my favorite roles include Russian Girl in Serenade, Dew Drop and Lead Spanish in the Nutcracker, and soloist roles in Paquita, La Bayadere and Allegro Brilliante. Contemporary choreographers I most enjoyed working with were Lloyd Whitmore, Warren Carlyle, Bubba Carr, Alexandre Proia, Tianna Sykes, and Lonnie Davis. I continue to perform occasionally with Andrea Moriera's Dance Brasil and take classes from the master teachers in Atlanta.
Choreography
My choreography has recently been presented by Dance Canvas, Paideia Arts and the professional company at the Georgia Ballet. I also have set many works on the young dancers at Gainesville Ballet Theatre and Dance Theatre of Santa Fe in Florida, as well as Atlanta Jazz Theatre, Academy of Ballet, Studio 4 the Arts, Steps of Faith and Dance and Music Academy in Georgia. In 2015 I won a choreography award from Celebration Talent Competition. I've also enjoyed donating my time to choreographing for Dancing With the Stars of Loving Arms. While I specialize in classical ballet, I am also open to collaboration with dancers of different backgrounds. Two of my most recent pieces "Disconnected" and "Connecting" featured members of the dance crew, Dragon House.
Teaching
I've been teaching children and adults since the age of 18 in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap. You can find me on staff at Academy of Ballet, British Academy of Performing Arts and North Georgia School of Ballet. I also offer private lessons from my home studio and teach autistic children with Grain of Sand Academy. My extensive training inside the classroom and on stage has prepared me to offer outstanding classes in which my students leave feeling inspired. Not only do I train each dancer properly, I also ensure that he or she receives education in dance history, anatomy, music and terminology, preparing them for any role in the dance world and beyond.
